Directions to the cottages are as follows:

From Perth, take the A9 north towards Inverness. Leave the A9 at Aviemore and follow the A95 past Grantown-on-Spey in the direction of Keith and Elgin.  Reset the car odometer as you cross the River Spey just outside Grantown-on-Spey. 

Continue along the A95 for 13.6 miles (21.7km), passing through Cromdale, (Do not be tempted to come via Tomintoul in inclement weather!) Turn right onto the B9008 direction Tomintoul. Stay on the B9008 passing through Bridgend of Glenlivet and bypassing Glenlivet village hall.

At 19.1 miles (30.5km) turn left onto the B9009 direction Dufftown. You will pass the Croft Inn on your right. At 21.3 miles (34.0km) turn left onto a single-track road. There is a hand shaped signpost with Bluefolds on the right-hand side of the road. At 22.0 miles (35.5km) go straight on and follow the road to the farm, although the road turns through 90 degrees to the left. Go through the farmyard and take the left hand fork up a stone track.  You will approach the cottages. Glenlivet is the first cottage through the gate; Aberlour is the cottage in the centre and Dronach is on the right. Access to Aberlour and Dronach cottages is via the back and side of the building and parking is available immediately outside each cottage.

We are further up the track from the steading building in Folds Cottage.

For those that have Satellite Navigation, the postcode for the cottages is AB37 9DS.

That will put you within 0.5miles of the cottages. 

For the technically inclined the latitude / longitude of the cottages is 57º 22´41 North 3º 17´23 West.

No all bed linen and towels for each guest are provided, we also provide travel cots and highchairs on request for infants with appropriate bed linen as well.

Please bring everything you would need for your pet including his own towel for muddy walks and beach romps.

No. all those the things listed are provided in all the cottages, plus most other things normally needed on day to day basis.

We are right in the heart of Malt Whisky Country, the main two small towns Aberlour and Dufftown are 8 and 10 miles away respectively they both have Co-op convenience stores which carry a good range of basic requirements, both Asda and Tesco provide an on-line shopping deliveries to the cottages. For ASDA and Tesco both Elgin and Huntly have locations available.  Both of which are about 25 miles away.

Both Dufftown and Aberlour have a local station (Note – Aberlour has a 24hr card payment facility for fuel), the closest petrol station is at the Ballindalloch Post Office / General store which is 5 miles away.

We are right in the heart of Malt Whisky Country with 51 distilleries within Moray Speyside itself and 107 in total including adjourning regions. Not all of the do tours however depending on your tastes we recommend the following (in no particular order) – Booking recommended.

Gin/Vodka: Glenrinnes (Glenrinnes), Caorunn (Cromdale), Kinrara (Aviemore)

Larger distilleries:

Aberlour (Aberlour), Glenlivet (our closest – you can see it from the cottages), Balvenie (Dufftown), Glenfiddich (Dufftown), Macallan (Craigallachie).
